South Mountain TheaterWorks will be holding auditions for our upcoming production of RENT on Monday, February 8th and Tuesday, February 9th, starting at 7:30pm at The Oakes Center, 120 Morris Avenue in Summit, NJ.
PLEASE NOTE: We have added an additional audition slot on Saturday, February 13th from 2-3pm at the theater for anyone who was unable to make it on Monday or Tuesday. Feel free to sing from the score.
ANGEL DUMOTT SCHUNARD
A transvestite street drummer infected with HIV. Increible dancer with a magnetic personality.

Wealthy landlord of Mark and Roger's building. Benny wants to start a multimedia studio.

JOANNE JEFFERSON
A headstrong public interest lawyer, and Maureen's lover.

MARK COHEN
A filmmaker and video artist, determined to capture "real" life on film. Roger's roommate.

MAUREEN JOHNSON
A performance artist and Mark's ex-girlfriend.
C4 - F5 (High Soprano Belt Mix)
MIMI MARQUEZ
A dancer with AIDS and a drug problem. Desperate for a place to feel safe and protected.

ROGER DAVIS
An edgy, struggling musician who's HIV+. He hopes to write one last meaningful song before he dies.
B2 - A4 (Tenor)
TOM COLLINS
An HIV+ computer genius who has recently returned to New York after an absence. Has a deep capacity for love and understanding.
F#2 - A4 (Baritenor)
In addition, there are several smaller roles that will be performed by the ensemble, including ALEXI DARLING, MR. and MRS. JEFFERSON, MARK'S MOTHER, ROGER'S MOTHER, MIMI'S MOTHER, HOMELESS WOMAN, STREET VENDORS, POLICE OFFICERS, LIFE SUPPORT SOLOISTS, SEASONS OF LOVE SOLOISTS, etc.
